最早的中文版，其實是使用”鑽石琢面”這個字眼，在如何辨識窗子的部分，我覺得中文版翻譯的有點饒舌，我將原文版放在下方，這裡也說明一下我的理解。重點就是一個水晶的正中央有一個很直覺可見的較大的菱形，幾乎可以算成第七個稜面，菱形的上端點與向上延伸至晶體頂端的直線相連，菱形左右兩側的端點與構成相鄰面的角度相連，菱形的下端點則與延伸至晶體底部的末端相連，可參考我畫的圖示。
至於這個所謂的菱形到底是哪一種菱形，在原文中使用diamond-
shaped這個詞彙，通常這詞是指較廣義的菱形，就是可能上下不等長，上兩邊等長，下兩邊等長這樣，不一定是四邊等長；甚至四邊都不等長，只是視覺上是一個差不多的四邊形。但我不知道卡崔娜的認定是什麼，因為書中沒有針對這個多做說明，但既然她沒有特別寫說要等長，那很大的機率可能是屬於廣義的。

The difference between window crystal and ordinary diamond-shaped faceted crystal is that the window is transparent and large enough to see the inner world of the crystal. In window crystal, the rhombus facets are large enough to be recognized as one facet of the crystal compared to the facets that make up the cusp, resulting in a crystal with seven facets instead of six. This gives the Window Crystal Quartz a dimension of existence unknown to other members of the family.
The more common common rhombus faceted crystals are not always window crystals. The diamonds on rhombus faceted crystals are smaller and usually on the side, unlike window crystals, which are in the center of the front. At the same time, they are very inconspicuous and cannot be seen at a glance.
